Disabling injuries can occur on any job, making workplace safety a top concern for employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2021 Liberty Mutual Workplace Safety Index (WSI) compiles the 10 causes of the most serious disabling workplace injuries \u2013 those that caused employees to miss work for more than five days \u2013 and ranks them by direct cost to employers based on medical and lost-wage expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The top 10 causes of disabling workplace injuries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Disabling workplace injuries cost businesses more than $58 billion every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first step in protecting your business and workforce is knowing how serious injuries happen.<a href=\"https:\/\/business.libertymutual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/2021_WSI_1000_R2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download PDF<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.
