It\u2019s a season where we\u2019re reminded of what truly matters \u2014 family, health, stability, and community. But it\u2019s also a time when many of our neighbors face their most difficult challenges: financial strain, loneliness, food insecurity, and uncertainty about the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why giving back through volunteering, donating, or supporting local programs is more important than ever. On the menu?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pot roast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mashed potatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gravy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green beans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This meal requires precision: start with a weighed portion of roast, add a generous layer of long green beans, then carefully add the mashed potatoes and gravy. It\u2019s a lot of steps\u2026 and even more teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But our Shield crew didn\u2019t miss a beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, we plated 540 meals for senior neighbors who depend on nutritious food delivered with care. <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc4f\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/1f44f\/32.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\ud83e\udd63\" src=\"https:\/\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/16.0\/1f963\/32.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when we add that to last week\u2019s total of 1,280 meals, our team has prepared 1,820 meals in just two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s 1,820 moments of comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1,820 reasons someone feels supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1,820 reminders that this community takes care of each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Meals on Wheels staff was incredibly welcoming and told us they\u2019d love to have us back anytime \u2014 and we feel the same.
